DHI announces leadership transition

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Door and Hardware Institute (DHI) announced that James Gammon, MBA, CFDAI, has been named the DHI interim chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately, replacing former CEO Cedric Calhoun.

DHI shared that Gammon, who has over 17 years of industry experience, has been serving as DHI director of technical activities. He will report directly to the DHI Board of Governors until a permanent CEO is named.

DHIDHI Board of Governors President Cortney Anderson Wascher, owner and president of Anderson Lock Co., said, “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Cedric for his service to DHI. We are embarking upon an ambitious new strategic direction for DHI with optimism and excitement as we look toward a promising future of continued growth and advancement. In addition, I am confident that James and our professional staff will ensure a successful transition.”

Prior to working with DHI, Gammon was director of corporate training and development for The Cook & Boardman Group, LLC. He also is a retired, decorated war veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.
