HID establishes office in China

IRVINE, Calif.--HID Corp. increased its presence in Asia last month, opening HID Technology Company Limited in Shenzhen, China.
The new office will house sales, customer support, warehouse and business development space for the company's smart card products in the region. Terry Lee, formerly with Krone Communication, will represent the company as general manager.
HID specializes in the manufacturing of access control products for commercial users that include corporations, universities and healthcare facilities. The company is a division of the Assa Abloy Identification Technology Group.
In June, HID opened HID India Private Limited, a customer and technical support office. Previously, the company solely maintained a sales presence in the country.
