Honeywell on Feb. 24 announced effective immediately Scott Harkins has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Honeywell's Video Systems business, which provides a wide array of video surveillance technology used to protect facilities around the world. Harkins will oversee the global video systems operations, which includes North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Working closely with distributors, dealers and integrators, the company provides innovative security solutions - including the latest in IP systems, video analytics and specification tools - that meet the video surveillance needs of a diverse range of customers. “I'm truly excited to have this opportunity to lead our video systems business,” Harkins said. “We have an incredibly talented team to support our global business, and I look forward to continuing to build the strong relationships we've cultivated with our customers through the years. We're poised to offer our customers the best products, programs and support they need to help them successfully grow their business,” Harkins said. In his new role, Harkins will report to Ben Cornett, president of Honeywell Security & Data Collection. “Scott is committed to excellence and is one of the most inspirational leaders I know. He's like a great point guard who makes the whole team better just by his presence on the court,” said Cornett. “I know he'll focus that passion on bringing maximum value to our customers.”
