Identix has contract in hand

MINNETONKA, Minn.--Identix's new $700,000 contract, announced July 20, will help two California law enforcement agencies meet stipulations of the state's Proposition 69, which requires hand prints on certain felons, registrants and parolees. Two unnamed law enforcement agencies in northern California will use Indentix's TouchPrint Enhanced Definition 3800 Full-Hand Live Scan system to upgrade and expand their existing network of Identix scan systems. The TouchPrint 3800 can capture the full hand, including the carpal crease, cup of the palm and fingertips, giving operators details that are important in solving crimes. The new products are expected to be shipped and installed by December 31, 2005.
