iDter preventing vehicle theft, vandalism with AI detection

SAN MATEO, Calif. – iDter, a technology company using AI-based detection says it’s making a difference, stopping intruders in its tracks and combating rising vehicle crime.

With iDter’s Nio Guardians, security surveillance devices utilizing AI, which the company said act as security guards, users can position them on buildings and light poles to cover every square foot of a property and confront trespassers within seconds of arrival. In the event of a trespass the units send audible and visual warnings, including blinding strobes of red and blue LEDs, piercing sirens, and situation-appropriate voice-down warning messages and intimidating sound effects.

“We receive notifications with video clips on our phones when there is activity on our property and iDter live monitors the site which gives us confidence that we are being protected,” said Ted Flageolle, MDI Truck Parts and Service Support.

iDter said that events are monitored in real time to ensure deterrence actions were successful, and if not, a video verified alarm is sent to a UL Listed, Five-Diamond Certified central station for dispatch of authorities through 911 operators.
