Imprivata joins Open Security Exchange

LEXINGTON, Mass.--Enterprise authentication and access management appliance company Imprivata announced Monday it has joined the Open Security Exchange, an IT- and physical-security cross-industry forum dedicated to merging physical and IT security solutions. The OSE, specifically, works to create vendor-neutral interoperability specifications and best-practice guidelines in the area of security management. Imprivata is, like the OSE, a proponent of open standards and has recently integrated its OneSign product, which allows for the integration of physical and logical access control, with products from S2 and Software House, for example. "The OSE is making and will continue to make a major impact on the overall security landscape," said Imprivata founder David Ting in a statement. "We are excited to join this cross-industry forum because we believe in its work and vision, and, since Imprivata is bringing the IT perspective to the organization, we are making a valuable contribution in these early critical industry discussions."
