WOODBURY, N.Y. - Intelli-Check, a provider of hardware used to scan and verify identification cards, has reached a licensing agreement with Precision Dynamics Corp., a San Fernando, Calif.-based provider of wristband identification products.
Under the terms of the deal, PDC will integrate Intelli-Check’s ID-Check technology into its AgeBand wristband identification system, branded PDC AgeBand Electronic Age/ID Verification System. AgeBand will market the integrated product to venue operators such as bar owners who must identify patrons for age appropriate services and products.
ID-Check terminal is the flagship product among Intelli-Check’s product suite. The device retrieves information stored on the barcode portion of identification cards, such as state licenses and government-issued badges. The market the company addresses includes not only bar operators, who seek to reduce liability issues due to underage drinking, but also those industries seeking to prevent unauthorized physical entry through the use of altered identification cards.
PDC targets a number of markets with its bar code and radio frequency wristband identification products, including the industries of entertainment, healthcare and law enforcement.
