ISC East picks up steam, organizer says Growing show focuses on hot topics this year

NORWALK, Conn.—Cyber security melding with physical security, dealers and installers competing with the DIY market, law enforcement's wearable cameras: All will be hot topics at this year's ISC East conference, scheduled for Nov. 18-19 in New York City.

“It's looking great for this year, we're very excited,” Sherida Sessa, VP for ISC East and ISC West, told Security Systems News.

The show has grown. More than 200 exhibitors are on board, up from last year, including some exhibitors who have returned to the show after an absence, she noted.

Anticipated attendance is tracking well, also, Sessa said.

“There's a strong trajectory, a steady increase,” she said.

The SIA-sponsored show, designed to serve the Northeast market, especially those participants who can't always make the trip all the way to Las Vegas for ISC West, usually attracts about 4,500 attendees, Sessa said.

She promised this year's educational sessions and its exhibitors would “be on the cutting edge.”

Famed MLB player Daryl Strawberry, now an ordained minister and author, will speak at the show on Nov. 19. Other speakers and the full educational line-up can be found here.
