Kansas joins NFBAA as state-chartered chapter

IRVING, Texas--The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association announced in August that the Kansas Burglar & Fire Alarm Association was welcomed into the association as a state-chartered chapter. “We’re glad to have Kansas as a chapter. Their participation will make the association, and the industry, stronger,” said NBFAA President Mike Miller in a prepared statement. “We welcome the vision, knowledge and fresh perspectives that the KBFAA leadership and members have to offer.” KBFAA members may renew their membership in 2009 with either the KBFAA or NBFAA and now have dual membership. They will receive valuable benefits from NBFAA such as discounts on education and training, government relations representation at the national level, public relations exposure and updates on industry issues, trends and standards, as well as access to all local and state-level networking and unique activities in the KBFAA. NBFAA, as a courtesy to the KBFAA, will collect 2009 membership dues for both associations. Any questions about the upcoming transition should be directed to the NBFAA membership department at (888) 447-1689 ext. 205.
