Last firefighter to escape Twin Towers collapse to keynote at ISC East

July 15, 2004 NEW YORK - The city’s highest ranking firefighter to survive the World Trade Center’s collapse on Sept. 11, 2001 will be the keynote speaker for the ISC East show in New York Nov. 3 – 4. New York Fire Department Battalion Commander Richard Picciotto’s presentation will be modeled after his best-selling book, “Last Man Down: A Fireman’s Story.” He will offer an eyewitness account of this collapse of the Twin Towers. Picciotto was the last firefighter to escape the destruction. Dean Russo, vice president and show manager for the ISC shows, said the conference is proud to bring a story of a first responder to the show and it emphasizes how important the installer’s work is with first responders.
