Liberty Wire & Cable goes 'green' Brief

ANAHEIM, Calif.--Liberty Wire & Cable, a worldwide supplier of wire and cable products for the audio/video trade, reported on June 19 that more than 90 percent of its 6,000 products are compliant with a major legislative initiative, the Restriction on Hazardous Substances (RoHS). RoHS, which aims to reduce lead and five other toxic chemicals, was adopted by the European Union in 2003 and became effective last year. Liberty is a division of Communications Supply Corp, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colo.
