Nate Manning named Johnson Controls VP and COO, global field operations

CORK, Ireland—Johnson Controls has announced the appointment of Nate Manning as vice president and chief operations officer, global field operations.

Manning will lead functional excellence across the company’s global field organization of more than 50,000 employees who power Johnson Controls’ customers’ mission every day, and together execute on more than $18 billion in annual revenue.

Johnson ControlsServing more than four million customers throughout 150 countries, Manning oversees all elements of global field operations including strategic oversight and world-class operational execution throughout installation, services, parts, central operations, integrated service delivery and operational transformation.

Manning joined Johnson Controls in January 2019 as the North America vice president and general manager, HVAC and Controls, and later led North America field Operations. He most recently held the role of president, Building Solutions North America.

Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Manning spent nearly 30 years in various global senior leadership roles in the aerospace and utility, power generation and distribution industries with The AES Corporation, General Electric and Eaton. In these roles, he was responsible for profit and loss, product management, engineering, commercial, manufacturing, procurement and field execution.

Manning has served a variety of philanthropic organizations, including the United Way, March of Dimes and the Atlanta Police Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Dayton. Manning is also a graduate of GE's Operational Management Leadership Program and the Corporate Audit Staff and is a certified Master Black Belt.
