NBFAA announces award winners

SILVER SPRING, Md. - Two longtime officers of the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association were presented with awards recognizing both for their leadership and contributions to the association. Tony Smith, NBFAA communications chairperson, was given the Sara E. Jackson Award, which is presented annually to a committee chairperson who displays outstanding leadership. The award is given in memory of the late, former NBFAA president. The Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year award was presented to Bart Didden, past president of the NBFAA, in recognition of Didden’s service to the alarm industry. The awards were handed out at the NBFAA’s 2003 spring conference in Las Vegas in late March.
