NEW YORK--Nortronics Corp. installed an IP-based access control system from S2 Security into parking garages at 1199 Plaza/East River Landing on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in August.
The systems integrator used S2 NetBox, a security management system from the Wellesley, Mass.-based manufacturer of network-based integrated physical security systems, for the application.
The technology enables access control and CCTV systems to be managed on an IP network. In this application, the garage's 12 entrances each have a reader that connects to the NetBox. The system also records who enters and exits the garage, through which door and when.
Nortronics Corp. serves the residential and commercial market with clients in the New York tri-state area.
