SUFFERN, N.Y., and WELLESLEY, Mass.--On-Net Surveillance Systems, a manufacturer of open architecture IP-based video surveillance software, and S2 Security, a manufacturer of network-based integrated physical security systems, have announced a strategic partnership that will integrate the OnSSI IP surveillance NVR and intelligent video delivery platforms with the S2 NetBox integrated physical security management system. Video surveillance will now correspond to events detected by a range of physical security devices, including access control, alarm monitoring and temperature monitoring, eliminating the need to search for and match video content with security exceptions.
"Our partnership with S2 represents a transition in video surveillance, shifting the focus from merely aggregating video content to intelligent events-based detection and video delivery," said Gadi Piran, OnSSI chief technology officer, in a statement.
"S2 is able to form partnerships such as this because of the open platform on which the S2 NetBox is based," said John Moss, S2 president and chief executive officer, in a statement.
