Optelecom-NKF reports 74-percent revenue growth, YTD

GERMANTOWN, Md.--Optelecom-NKF, a global provider of IP-video network solutions, reported strong growth with their fourth-quarter filing this week. For the year ended Dec. 31, 2005, the company grew revenues 74 percent over the previous year, to a record $33,865,310. The fourth quarter of 2005 was also the company's first with more than $10 million in revenues.
News of the report sent the company stock, listed on the NASDAQ at OPTC, up more than 10 percent. The quarter marks the company's 18th consecutive profitable reporting period.
In other news, Optelecom-NKF recently announced a partnership with Government Sales Force, LLC, to implement a new go-to-market strategy for the United States Government.
