Owen Security acquires Company now has about 4,500 accounts

CALHOUN, Ga.—Owen Security Solutions, an alarm company based here, acquired the account base of Davis Security Services, totaling more than 1,100 accounts.

Davis Security Services was based in Woodstock, Ga., approximately 30 miles north of Atlanta. “Our growth strategy is to stay in Northwest/Northeast Georgia, with Atlanta being a heavy commercial base for us,” Justin Owen, Owen Security president, told Security Systems News.

The company's revenue is about 50 percent residential and 50 percent commercial, Owen said. Owen Security has about 30 employees currently, he added. Owen declined to release the financial terms of the deal.

Davis' account base is about 80 percent residential, according to Owen. Owen Security's account base is about 65 percent residential, he said.

The Davis deal is the company's second acquisition; its first was earlier this year when the company acquired approximately 50 accounts from Medley Systems in July.

While Owen Security Solutions acquired all of the accounts of Davis Security Services, Davis is still operating its business as a vendor.

In late September 2015, the company moved to a new 13,000 square-foot facility, “to support our team growth and our customer growth,” Owen said. The company's previous facility was about 5,000 square feet, he said.

The company is heavily involved in the community and having additional space in the new building has helped, such as when the company hosts networking events at its facility, Owen said.

Owen Security uses United Central Control for its monitoring.
