Peak Alarm enters distribution relationship with SS&SI

SALT LAKE CITY—Peak Alarm, founded in 1969 and currently one of the largest privately owned alarm companies in the country, announced it has entered into a distribution relationship with SS&Si Dealer Network.

As part of the arrangement, SS&Si will print Peak Alarm’s logo on hardware from manufacturers including Qolsys, Alarm.com, and ProdataKey.

Peak Alarm“Peak Alarm has built an excellent reputation in the Mountain West region for more than 50 years,” said SS&Si President Jake Voll. “We’re proud to support them as they leverage our hardware branding program to reinforce their brand name.”

Peak Alarm’s story began more than 50 years ago when Jerry D. Howe first began installing alarm systems in 1969. Since then, the company has expanded to six facilities serving six states with more than 350 employees.

“Over the years, we’ve proudly displayed the Peak Alarm logo on yard signs and window decals throughout the Mountain West region. And as a family-owned company with strong ties to our community, customers know and trust the Peak Alarm name,” explained Fred Johnson, CFO of Peak Alarm, “For us, extending that branding to our hardware made sense. The Peak Alarm logo exemplifies our commitment to provide quality products and services, and it’s a stamp of approval on a job well done.”’

Peak Alarm provides security, access, and video surveillance services to more than 17,000 homes and business locations in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, and Oregon. The company operates a UL-Listed, Five Diamond central station and is a member of NetOne, The Monitoring Association, and the National Fire Protection Association. Johnson is the chairman of the Alarm Systems Security Licensing Board for the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.

SS&Si Dealer Network is an independently owned distribution company serving the North American alarm industry. Voll serves as co-chair of The Monitoring Association’s Marketing and Communications Committee, a voting member of the Security Industry Standards Council (SISC), and a board member of the Alarm Association of Florida. In 2019, SS&Si launched its free branding program to support independent alarm companies throughout the States.
