Quick Response expands sales with Premier Marketing

CLEVELAND, Ohio--It might seem odd for a monitoring provider and manufacturer representative agency to partner, but for Jeff Cohen, vice president of wholesale monitoring firm Quick Response, and Mike Andrews, owner of Premier Marketing, a manufacturer representative agency, the business partnership formed earlier this year made sense for expanding sales efforts for each company in the markets they serve.
Premier Marketing represents 12 manufacturers serving the dealer market spanning northern Ohio, Michigan, western Pennsylvania, western New York, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana and offers product lines in the video, access control and fire product market. With the partnership, Andrews' company can now offer Quick Response services, serving the Midwest market, including fire and burglar monitoring, as a package with the video and access control to customers.
Cohen was on the lookout for better representation for his central's services. "They were the first name to come to mind, with the products that they represent, and most importantly they are some of the best in this area," Cohen said.
Andrews said to represent Quick Response they query dealers who are purchasing products about who is handling their monitoring services. "If they were not being monitored by Quick Response, we would certainly like to give them a presentation, quote and get them on board for conventional monitoring," he added.
Thanks to the agreement, Premier has picked up about eight dealers for Quick Response, which currently serves more than 35,000 accounts.
The goal is to assist Quick Response to grow their conventional business by 20 to 50 percent, Andrews said. "In our efforts, if we could put 10 dealers a year over the next two years that would be involved in the video/access control monitoring that would be a real good start."
