NORWALK, Conn.--Tom Ridge, the first Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security and former two-time governor of Pennsylvania, will be the keynote speaker at ISC West 2006.
Ridge will speak as part of the Eighth Annual Industry Summit portion of the convention, presented by the California Alarm Association, and sponsored by ISC, Security Industry Assocation, and National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association, which kicks off ISC West on April 5, 2006, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
"Ridge was one of the pivotal players in the months post 9/11," said Dean Russo, industry vice president, ISC Expo events, in a press release. "Having him keynote at ISC West will be a highlight for the security industry in general and ISC West participants in particular, as the issue of security became ingrained into the country's mindset during the inaugural appointment of a Director of Homeland Security."
ISC West, along with sister convention ISC East, which happens in New York City in October, 2006, is produced by Reed Exhibitions.
