Samsung Techwin America announces Duarte as Americas VP sales CCTV Division

CARSON, Calif.—Samsung Techwin America-CCTV Division, a provider of digital video security systems, on July 14 announced Pedro Duarte has been promoted to VP sales for the Americas, including all of North and Latin America. Pedro previously held the position of VP Latin America Sales for Samsung Techwin America. “Pedro's talent, experience, determination, and drive have made him very successful in the Latin American CCTV market,” said Dave Smith, EVP for Samsung Techwin America. “We are confident that these same qualities will assure Pedro's success in his expanded role covering sales for all of the Americas.”
Duarte has been in the industry for over 22 years. Prior to joining Samsung Techwin in 2008, he served for more than 8 years as GM Latin America of GE Security, a subsidiary of General Electric.
Duarte generated high growth for the different enterprises he has led, while also maintaining high profitability. His ability to identify consumer needs, develop and coach teams with extraordinary leadership, and his multilingual and multicultural background strongly contribute to his success. Duarte is known for being able to visualize products and services attainable through the deployment of cutting edge technology to address or create market opportunities and to consolidate and implement marketing strategies.
