SILVER SPRING, Md. - Members of the National Burglar Fire Alarm Association that are policy holders of Security America insurance now have more flexibility when choosing a coverage amount.
The board of directors for Security America Risk Retention Group passed a proposal from Employers Reinsurance Corp., a division of General Electric, to increase Security America Risk Retention Group's coverage limits to $5 million.
Policyholders have an option of selecting $1 million, $2 million, $3 million or $5 million per occurrence.
In January, the NBFAA partnered with RiskCap, a risk management consulting service, to handle the underwriting and marketing of the program. RiskCap works with local brokers, and NBFAA participants can work with their current broker and obtain coverage under SARRG.
Currently, SARRG has written 249 policies.
