Sunstates security names Jeff Cathcart director of compliance services

RALEIGH, N.C.—Jeff Cathcart has been named director of compliance services at Sunstates Security, responsible for the company's strategic quality assurance programs.

One of Cathcart's main goals is to lead Sunstates to ISO 9001-2008 certification within two years. The company is currently ISO 9001-2008 compliant.

“ISO 9000” certification—as maintained by the International Organization for Standardization—is globally recognized as an indicator of operational excellence. In becoming certified, a company demonstrates that it has formal and effective quality-related procedures in place for all business processes, and that it pursues continuous quality improvement within all operations.

“Most of Sunstates' global clients are certified or working hard to get it, so standards that are critical for our partners and their business success are critical for us, as well,” said Glenn Burrell, president. “Jeff has significant experience and knowledge in continuous quality improvement. I am confident that he will help Sunstates achieve certification that will serve as yet another important differentiator for us in the marketplace.”

Cathcart has spent nearly his entire career managing, educating and training security personnel.

Previously, Cathcart served as chief of security for the Christian Broadcast Network, the campus of Regent University and the home of former Presidential candidate and The 700 Club host Pat Robertson.
