SureView adds audio Integrates Digital Acoustics’ IP audio solution into monitoring software

TAMPA, Fla.--SureView Systems, a central station software development company with offices here and in the UK, on July 30 announced the integration of Digital Acoustics IP intercom and paging solutions into its Immix video-based alarm automation software. The addition of Digital Acoustics’ audio capabilities will allow central stations or others utilizing the Immix platform to communicate with end users via two-way audio. SureView integrated Digital Acoustics’ IP7 Series, an IP/Ethernet audio solution, which is designed to convert analog systems into IP-based two-way communicating devices. “Digital Acoustic brings to the table a true distributed audio solution which enables us to provide multi-channel audio, full two-way duplex communications to our customers locations,” said Matt Krebs, executive vice president of SureView. “It is a scalable, robust solution from the smallest to the largest application.” Chris Coffin, chief executive officer of Digital Acoustics, headquartered in Lake Forest, Ill., said the integration of IP audio capabilities completes SureView’s platform offering. “Now SureView can manage the whole suite of connectivity options from burg alarm panels to video access points, access control points as well as what they were missing, an audio solution,” said Coffin. “SureView integrated our product into their application so they can offer this total solution.” Digital Acoustics, which was established in 2004, manufacturers the hardware, firmware and software for the solution. In addition to providing audio capabilities, Digital Acoustics’ module is designed to convert an existing analog security device to IP, so “as long as there is an IP backbone, that’s the only requirement,” said Coffin. “It’s important because what our sector is trying to do is bring their current, older analog equipment into the IP and digital domain,” he said. SureView is promoting this solution through its central station partners as well as through Digital Acoustics’ dealer network. Full deployment of the solution began in mid-August.
