Systems Integrator goes Far East with installation contract

BRICK, N.J.--North American Video teamed up with M. Malia & Associates, a security design consulting firm, to install security and surveillance systems at the Wynn Macau Resorts in early August. This will be the second Wynn Resorts contract for the systems integrator and security design consulting firm; the first was the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, which was completed in April. The video surveillance and security system will feature close to 2,000 cameras networked on a digital recording system using Honeywell Video Systems products. The resort's system will integrate with its point-of-sale systems in food, beverage and retail areas, as well as cashiers in cage and coin exchange areas in the gaming area. The resort is under construction in Macau, located in the southern part of China's Guangdong Province. The installation contract is valued at approximately $7 million. According to the company's president, Cynthia Freschi, the Wynn Resort is one of the largest fully digital video surveillance and security system implemented and the first digital recorded system approved by the Las Vegas Gaming Control Board. The current installation contract in Macau will incorporate a sister system, Freschi noted in a written statement.
