Universal Sprinkler merges with FLSA

RICHMOND, Va.--Universal Sprinkler Company of Houston in October merged with Fire and and Life Safety America based here.
The company will keep the Universal Sprinkler name in Texas and will operate in Houston, San Antonio and Austin.
Universal has 300 employees and had revenues of $34 million in the last fiscal year. FLSA operates under the names East Coast Fire Protection, Texas Southwest Fire Protection, and now Universal. FLSA is one of the five largest fire protection companies in the U.S. and did more than $185 million in sales in 2007.
