Vector Security integrates two of its business divisions New brand, Vector Security Networks, unveils first product

PITTSBURGH—Vector Security Inc., an integrator of physical security solutions based here, announced the integration of two of its business divisions—its National Accounts Division (NAD) and its wholly owned subsidiary, Industry Retail Group (IRG)—to form Vector Security Networks.

The new brand will provide a single source solution for managed network services and physical security serving multi-site businesses across North America.

“We are very excited about this integration and rebranding as Vector Security Networks, as it really emphasizes that we are that single source for folks who are looking for both physical security and the networking piece for their business,” Art Miller, vice president of marketing for Vector Security, told Security Systems News.

John Taggart, VP, Vector Security Networks, said in the announcement that the primary focus “will be harnessing the tenure and expertise of our teams to better serve our nearly 90,000 customer sites, as well as pursuing new relationships. We are two very strong companies on our own, but together under Vector Security Networks, multi-site businesses have access to the best in security and managed services under one roof."

Vector Security Inc. acquired IRG in August 2014, laying the groundwork for business intelligence offerings and the expansion of services that provide turnkey solutions for multi-site businesses.

“We are working on the rebranding, which is incredibly important and something that we are moving forward with quickly while we identify customers, especially in the retail space,” said Miller. “We are also looking to expand outside of retail for other companies that are interested in these types of one-source solutions, such as in the healthcare market and quick-serve market.”

Vector Security Networks also introduced its first product under the new brand called SiteConnect, a proprietary multisite commercial solution that combines broadband connectivity and physical security.

“We have been testing this product, which brings those physical security components together with IT as a single-source product, and it can be scalable, so it can work for a small-store footprint and upwards to multi-site businesses,” said Miller, who noted that SiteConnect complements a range of network management services and physical security solutions offered by Vector Security Networks, including NOC monitoring, device management, PCI compliance, alarm management, loss prevention, and video surveillance.

Vector Security Networks is now “the largest North American retail provider” of managed security solutions in a broadband-based, application-driven marketplace, according to the company.

"Vector Security Networks leads with our unequaled expertise in security, having been a leading provider of customized security solutions for more than 40 years, and with roots dating back to 1752," said Miller.
