Verint Systems synergizes with purchase

MELVILLE, N.Y.--Analytical software provider Verint Systems, acquired privately held Opus Group, a manufacturer of performance analytics solutions for contact centers and back office operations for $12 million in cash last week.
The purchase of Opus, headquartered in Hinsdale, Ill., diversifies the company's contact center solutions portfolio to further support and benefit its customer base.
"The acquisition of Opus reinforces our commitment to introduce innovative performance solutions to the enterprise actionable intelligence market," said Dan Bodner, president and chief operating officer at Verint Systems.
Verint's analytical software- based solutions are also used for communications interception, networked video security and business intelligence.
