Vicon appoints Frank Jacovino as vice president, corporate engineering

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.—Vicon Industries Inc., a designer and producer of integrated IP video surveillance and access control systems, on Feb. 10 announced the appointment of Frank Jacovino to the new position of vice president, corporate engineering. Jacovino, who reports directly to Vicon's CEO, Ken Darby, immediately assumes responsibility for all engineering functions within the Company.
Jacovino comes to Vicon with an impressive array of engineering management experience, having previously served as Vice President of Engineering at Long Island-based Tachtronics International and Robotic Vision Systems, Inc. In those positions he lead engineering teams in bringing commercially successful product to market, from concept to production.
