Ackerman sponsors benefit radiothon

ATLANTA—Ackerman Security Systems was a sponsor of the Atlanta-area “12 Hours of Hope,” a radiothon that raised $146,822 for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, the company announced Dec. 16.
“Ackerman has long been a supporter of Children's Healthcare and we were proud to be a sponsor of this great event,” said Jim Callahan, Ackerman president, in a prepared statement.
Children's Healthcare will use proceeds from the fundraiser to purchase a wireless x-ray machine for the facility's emergency room, according to the news release.
