When taking over legacy panels, why waste time and money on a system that funnels alarm signals through a potential point of failure and charges for network communication? With the Com Series from DMP, security dealers and integrators can improve efficiency, customer loyalty and monthly profitability.
Cellular Communication and DualSIM
DualSIM functionality allows one communicator to transmit signals over Verizon and AT&T networks — a feature rapidly growing in demand. DualSIM products improve the customer experience with increased reliability and fewer service calls. Dealers can standardize on DualSIM communicators to simplify their inventory.
DMP recently introduced new DualSIM versions of CellCom, DualCom and PowerCom Fire, available at the same pricing as their single-SIM models. Dealers can choose to activate one provider or both, eliminating the customary service call needed to change carriers. When both carriers are activated, an improved communication process with additional benefits is enabled:
- The control panel chooses a primary cell carrier based on signal strength.
- Every hour, the panel will check the signal of the primary carrier.
- If the signal strength indicates risk of losing connection, the system checks the secondary carrier’s signal, automatically switching over if its signal is better.
- During alarm transmission, if a signal fails with one carrier, the system will switch to the other carrier to deliver the message to the monitoring center.
Triple Redundancy
If the network communication path is disrupted, Adaptive Technology™ seamlessly switches to the panel’s cellular path, ensuring constant supervision at the same check-in rate. DualSIM adds a third layer by having another cellular option.
Cellular You Can Depend On
While other DualSIM products on the market check the cellular signal strength once a day, the DMP solution checks every hour—24 times as often as competitors—ensuring reliable and uninterrupted communications to the monitoring center when it matters most.
Fire Communication
Both the DualComNF and PowerComF offer network and cellular fire communication. These fire communicators provide two tip and ring terminals to easily take over existing fire panels with two phone lines. They work on any fire control panel via Contact ID capture and meet NFPA 72 standards for single communication technology.
FirstNet Ready
PowerCom Fire is the latest communicator to join the line of FirstNet products DMP has to offer, which include FirstNet-approved models of DualComNF and 263LTE communicators. These products give alarm companies the advantage of using FirstNet’s nationwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the federal government for the transmission of public safety related alarms.
Free Network Communication
Depending on the customers’ needs, available Com Series solutions include dual-path or cell-only, fire and non-fire, as well as optional Z-Wave functionality. Every model provides fully supervised universal alarm communication over AT&T or Verizon’s LTE networks — and all dual-path options include free network communication, providing DMP dealers the ability to increase profitability. Com Series universal alarm communicators from DMP guarantee direct signal transmission to the monitoring center receiver. There’s no Network Operations Center (NOC) in between.
Why DMP?
Designed, engineered and manufactured in the U.S. with U.S. and global components, DMP products are known for their quality and reliability. By updating existing residential and commercial systems with Com Series communicators, customers can remotely access their panels via the Virtual Keypad app. This makes it possible to use their mobile devices to control basic arm/disarm functions and receive alerts. Upgrade any legacy system with remote arming/disarming, zone status, zone bypass, user management, video and more. Earn customer loyalty by extending the life of their existing panels and add modern features at the same time. Check compatibility and learn more, here!
