ACRE acquires PremiSys software/hardware portfolio and assets from IDenticard

LAS VEGAS – ACRE has announced the completion of its acquisition of PremiSys and its assets from IDenticard in a broadening of the company’s portfolio.

The addition of PremiSys’ access control technologies to ACRE allows organizations to self-manage door access, view integrated video, and lockdown facilities. ACRE says the acquisition of the integrated security platform provides a chance to consolidate and extends opportunities for the company in healthcare, education, data centers, and senior living facilities.  

“Since its inception, ACRE's overarching goal has been to consolidate access control and customers under one umbrella,” said Darren Learmonth, CTO, ACRE. “This acquisition represents another important step in ACRE’s transformation, solidifying the company as the leader in the rapidly growing access control market.”

The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

This marks the first acquisition for the company in 2023 and is part of ongoing efforts to consolidate the industry and expand their solution portfolio as SSN reported on in 2022 following their acquisition of SISCO.

“I think there's a lot of fragmentation within the market, so that always leaves opportunity for some players to become stronger players,” CEO Don Joos told SSN in an exclusive interview last year. “The market is in a transition as I think about how the people are consuming security. It's in a transition as people are looking more and more at subscription-based and pure SaaS-based solutions. But it's very early stages and I don't know for how long or when the tipping point is going to occur.”

ACRE also pointed to it’s 2021 purchases of Feenics and Matrix in addressing the evolving customer requirements in their cloud and enterprise segments.
