NEW HAVEN, Conn.—ASSA ABLOY recently announced the launch of ASSA ABLOY Academy, a consolidation of its robust training programs that enable security professionals to be more effective at their job of protecting both people and places.

The program offerings are highlighted on a new website at www.assaabloyacademy.com/americas, which features an upgraded learning management system to streamline coursework through an enhanced user interface.

The Academy features all of the existing content from ASSA ABLOY Americas University including online courses, onsite classes at learning centers, and a Mobile Installation Training Vehicle that provides hands-on training at any location.

“Our educational offerings have seen amazing success over the past decade,” said Mark Brewer, the director of education at ASSA ABLOY Academy. “The new website brings it all together in a modernized platform. It allows us to provide the most relevant training possible in an easy-to-use interface that enables learning and gives us opportunities to expand our offering.”

The goal of ASSA ABLOY Academy is to provide essential learning opportunities for all professionals in the security industry, the company said in its announcement.

“If we provide quality training for security professionals they will be better at executing on their mission of making facilities safe and secure,” Sean McGrath, vice president of marketing, business development and training, ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions, said in a prepared statement. “We view the ASSA ABLOY Academy as a critical and unique offering for everyone who wants to improve the way in which they protect the critical assets of our world.”
