Barrier, gate companies merge

September 18, 2003 IRVING, Texas - Integrated Security Systems announced that its security gate subsidiary, B&B Electromatic, has merged with ARMR Services Corp., a supplier of crash rated barriers and parking control equipment. The new company will operate under the name B&B ARMR Corp and combine products and solutions to offer customers with “best of breed solutions,” according to C.A. Rundell Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Integrated Security Systems. “We are extremely excited about this new chapter of ISSI,” said Peter Beare, chairman and chief executive officer of B&B ARMR Corp. “ARMR Services Corp. is well known for providing innovative and high quality products. The combination of these two companies forms a very strong base from which to build a world class company.” The transaction was based on a transfer of stock, with the families of Paul Roland and Scott Rosenbloom, principals of ARMR, receiving ISSI common stock.
