Bill Bozeman Awards Announced!

As I write these words, Security Systems News Managing Editor Cory Harris (pictured above at the podium) is in one of my favorite cities, Denver, Colo., for PSA TEC, the conference devoted to the systems integrator community. To say that I have some serious FOMO going on seeing all of Cory’s, and other industry peers’ posts on social would be an understatement! But I am very excited Cory gets to experience his first TEC, a rite of passage for any SSN editor, for sure!

And what a great TEC it has been! One of the highlights for the SSN Team was seeing Cory up on stage (see photo again :D) with former PSA CEO Bill Bozeman and PSA Vice President of Marketing & Events, Candice Aragon, announcing the winners of the inaugural PSA/SSN Systems Integrator and Bill Bozeman Awards!

Just in case you weren’t there, this year’s winners are:

  • Cam-Dex Security Corporation from Kansas City, Kan.
  • Integrated Security and Communications from Millstone, N.J.
  • Integrated Protection Services (IPS) in Cincinnati, Ohio
  • Bill Bozeman Award Winner: LVC Companies from Minneapolis, Minn.

As Candice pointed out during the awards presentation earlier this week, we have been working with PSA since 2021 to develop awards to recognize top systems integrators in the security industry. Submissions were judged on:

  • Financial Success – Revenue growth year over year
  • Impact on/Involvement in the industry
  • Commitment to community
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Employee satisfaction

“For our inaugural class, we had so many strong nominations for our panel to select from,” said Aragon, who was joined by PSA’s former CEO Bill Bozeman for the award presentations for the four winners, including the Bill Bozeman Award.

For the team here at SSN, it has been a pleasure to work with the PSA team, who have delivered yet another amazing conference this week in Denver, in addition to continuing to partner with others for the betterment of the industry.

Personally, I would like to thank Bill Bozeman for his friendship and mentorship over the years, as well as his unyielding devotion to moving the industry forward!

Stay tuned for full features on this year’s winners!
