California Alarm Association names Esther Aviles executive director

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—The California Alarm Association (CAA) has appointed Esther Aviles as its new executive director.

Aviles will oversee the association’s day-to-day operations and work with the board of directors to support CAA’s mission of serving California’s electronic security and life safety industry.

According to the association, Aviles brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, customer service, business operations, event planning, human resources and nonprofit administration. She is the owner of ERA & Associates Events, LLC, where she has provided administrative support, strategic planning, marketing and event management services to organizations.

“On behalf of the board of directors, we are excited to welcome Esther to the California Alarm Association,” CAA President Matt Hoffman said. “Her extensive nonprofit management experience, passion for member service, and proven leadership make her an outstanding fit for our Association. We are confident she will help continue the growth and success of CAA while providing exceptional support to our members, volunteers and industry partners.”

Aviles said she is looking forward to working with the association’s membership and leadership.

“I am honored to join the California Alarm Association and look forward to getting to know the membership, supporting the board of directors, and working alongside everyone to continue building a strong and successful association for years to come,” she said.

CAA also recognized outgoing Executive Director Paige Meek, who served in the role for the past three years. During her tenure, Meek oversaw conferences and educational events while supporting the association’s operations and growth initiatives.
