Cellebrite expands partnership with SkySafe to bolster drone investigations

TYSONS CORNER, Va.—Cellebrite has expanded its partnership with drone detection and airspace intelligence provider SkySafe, combining drone-related intelligence with digital forensic investigations in a single workflow.

The agreement makes Cellebrite the exclusive digital forensics partner for SkySafe's unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capabilities, building on the relationship between the two companies following Cellebrite's acquisition of SCG Canada earlier this year.

According to the companies, the expanded partnership will integrate SkySafe's drone detection and airspace intelligence capabilities with Cellebrite's digital investigative platform, allowing agencies and organizations to correlate real-time and historical drone flight data with mobile device forensic evidence.

The combined offering is designed to help investigators identify patterns, uncover connections between digital evidence and drone activity, and accelerate investigations involving UAV-related incidents.

Grant Jordan, founder and CEO of SkySafe, said the partnership will provide investigators with additional intelligence throughout drone-related investigations.

The companies said the partnership is intended to expand the digital intelligence available to investigators by combining SkySafe's drone detection and airspace intelligence capabilities with Cellebrite's forensic and investigative technologies.

Cellebrite and SkySafe said they also plan to pursue future development opportunities serving public safety, defense and enterprise customers that require increased visibility into drone activity and related digital evidence.
