Centerra Group buys Gregg

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.—Centerra Group has acquired Gregg Protection Services, which specializes in the protection of nuclear and biological assets as well as other high threat, national security targets worldwide.

“This addition to the Centerra family brings a team of uniquely qualified professionals with unmatched technical skills and experience in the highly specialized arena of global non-proliferation and threat reduction support,” said Paul Donahue, president and CEO of Centerra, in a prepared statement.

Nat Fogg, Centerra's SVP of mergers and acquisitions and corporate development added, “With the acquisition of Gregg Protection Services, we are clearly communicating to the market that within the first quarter of being taken private, Centerra is prepared to move forward with an important part of its growth strategy, which is strategic acquisitions.”

Gregg Protection Services was founded in 1997 with core competencies in safeguards and security, training and performance solutions, staff augmentation and vulnerability assessments. Major customers include the United States Department of Energy and several National Laboratories across the country.

David C. Bradley, currently Centerra's VP of operations and former GM at the Nevada National Security Site, has been selected to lead this new division.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
