Connect ONE adds mass notification and critical lockdown features

MONUMENT, Colo. – IT services company Connected Technologies has announced expanded Emergency Mass Notification Systems features for its cloud-hosted management platform, Connect ONE.

The Connect One platform has introduced features that allow users to tailor lockdown and emergency mass notifications throughout a facility, at the same time providing occupants real time hazard alerts and evacuation steps. These features Connected Technologies said have been added as per the request of a dealer.

Connect ONE allows operators to use one interface for facility-wide control. “The Task Rules initiate different actions for system control and interaction with a single click: an action option rule logs events (with status and type of event) while the lockdown feature includes messaging and optional subsequent actions (lock all doors, deactivate users, etc.),” the company wrote. “Lockdowns can be applied to all or individual doors/systems and disable all users or only specified user profiles.”

Thanks to custom messaging in the lockdown window, users can tailor alerts to suit their needs for a variety of scenarios. These include everything from severe weather alerts notifying parties of a building lockdown, fire alarm door unlocks for occupant evacuation and first responder access, and chemical spill with warning notifications and door lockdown to limit access to affected areas. The Connect ONE platform controls all access control, video surveillance, intrusion, critical environment monitoring and energy management systems from a single platform, and interfaces with a variety of popular commercial fire alarm panels.

“Connect ONE works with Bosch B and G, DMP XR/XT, ELK M1 and Honeywell Vista Turbo security and access control panels. It also integrates with ASSA ABLOY Aperio® wireless locks as well as Digital Watchdog, OpenEye, ExacqVision and Eagle Eye Networks video technologies,” Connected technologies stated. “With the Safe Passage module for access control user authorization and ScanPass® mobile credential for frictionless entrance control, dealers and their customers have the latest services to manage multiple locations through a single Connect ONE user interface.”
