YARMOUTH, Maine—Presented, operated and organized by SecuritySpecifiers, and supported by the Security Industry Association (SIA), the 2020 CONSULT Technical Security Symposium goes live virtually Oct. 26-27.

The free virtual mini-conference has been developed specifically for technical security design professionals, and draws on the expertise of consultant community. From cybersecurity to spec writing and design issues, the environment that security consultants and engineers face is constantly evolving.

“While I am obviously disappointed at not being able to host our CONSULT event in-person this year, I am thrilled that we’ve been able to put together 6 blue-ribbon panels to tackle some very timely topics for our industry," SecuritySpecifiers Managing Director Ray Coulombe told Security Systems News, "CONSULT has been characterized each year by wonderful content, spirited discussion, and effective networking. Even though we can’t really network in a virtual vent, we can certainly learn and receive Continuing Ed units to reflect that learning.”

Monday, Oct. 26 sessions:

  • How Effective Are Thermographic Cameras?
  • What’s the Best Way to Specify Integrated Systems?
  • Plugging into Managed Services

Tuesday, Oct. 27 sessions:

  • It's Time to Specify OSDP

  • The Impact of Privacy Laws on Access Control
