Hearing the chimes (aka Sam's on vacation)

You know, I've heard more than one dealer tell me that the only reason people keep their home security systems operational is for the chimes that sound when the doors open. I can now attest that is the only reason the in-laws we're staying with here in Ohio keep their system up and running. They never arm it, they don't even know who monitors it (not sure if they even pay that bill, actually), but they love the chimes. The kids come and go as they please and they keep a mental tally by the chimes. Hilarious.
