Hikvision releases new 5 MP network fisheye camera

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – Hikvision have added to its camera lineup with the release of the new 5 MP AcuSense Fisheye Network Camera.

The camera delivers high-quality images with H.265+ video compression and uses Hikvision AcuSense technology, powered by deep learning algorithms to bring human and vehicle target classification alarms to front and backend devices while minimizing false alarms. Hikvision stated that the development of the product was due to market demand for high-performance devices.

“Our fisheye cameras are a great way to cover large areas with outstanding image quality and dynamic range,” said John Xiao, vice president of marketing, Hikvision USA. “This new AcuSense fisheye model incorporates some of our newest and most advanced technologies. Hikvision is committed to innovation and bringing users technology that improves security and situational awareness.” 

Other features of the camera include support for Hikvision Embedded Open Platform (HEOP) and importing third-party applications, up to four live-view display modes, high-quality imaging with 5 MP resolution, and a built-in microphone.
