Home burglar stares down security camera

MOBILE, Ala.—One of three men who broke into a home in this southern Alabama city might have seen the home's security camera, but it did not deter him from breaking in.
Video footage released by the Mobile Police Department shows the man looking right at the camera before proceeding to burglarize the home on city's southwest side, according to a report from Local 15 TV, a local NBC affiliate.
Police confiscated the system to obtain video evidence for analysis. According to the article, the trio of burglars stole TVs, jewelry and electronics.
While the case remains unsolved, the victim is hopeful authorities can use the video evidence to identify and apprehend the burglars, the article noted.
The report also cited a similar incident in Mobile that occurred in May 2012, when a homeowner whose residence was burglarized posted a video of the perpetrators on Facebook. With the help of police, a pair of burglars was eventually arrested.
