AMERICAN FORK, Utah—LiveView Technologies (LVT) has integrated the Axis Q6411 Bispectral PTZ Camera into its mobile security platform, adding thermal and visual detection capabilities designed to improve visibility in low-light and adverse weather conditions.
According to LVT, the integration marks the first time a mobile security unit platform has incorporated an NDAA-compliant bispectral camera, combining thermal imaging and visual detection for person identification in conditions where traditional cameras may struggle.
The Axis Q6411 joins LVT's existing lineup of NDAA-compliant Axis camera options and is intended for deployments that require enhanced detection capabilities at critical, remote or temporary locations.
"Low-light coverage is a notorious challenge in security, especially when organizations balance their limited resources to establish a resilient security posture in any condition, day and night," said George Bentinck, chief product officer at LVT. "LVT's newest integration with Axis joins a portfolio of NDAA-compliant options so security leaders in any industry have comprehensive options to best meet their site needs."
According to the company, the camera can detect heat signatures in total darkness and through environmental conditions including rain, fog, smoke and glare. LVT said the device also meets Section 889 requirements of the National Defense Authorization Act, helping customers satisfy federal compliance requirements.
Dean Cunningham, segment development manager for public safety at Axis Communications, said the integration gives security teams a flexible option for extending surveillance coverage where permanent infrastructure may not be practical.
"By integrating the AXIS Q6411-LE Bispectral PTZ sensor into its mobile surveillance platform, LVT gives teams a flexible way to extend coverage and assess activity where fixed infrastructure may not be practical," Cunningham said.
LVT said it expects to begin shipping mobile security units equipped with the Axis Q6411 Bispectral PTZ camera in December 2026.
