NMC appoints Nicola Oakie as VP of sales for proactive video monitoring

LAKE FOREST, Calif.—National Monitoring Center (NMC) announced the promotion of Nicola Oakie to vice president of sales, proactive video monitoring (PVM) in which she will lead the growth of the company's PVM Dealer Channel.

“Nicola's reputation as a business leader who looks beyond her sales role to seek opportunities has earned her praise and recognition from her peers; this passion and drive have resulted in strengthening NMC's relationship with our valued Channel Partners,” Woodie Andrawos, President of NMC said in the announcement. “She continues to be an important contributor to the R&D roadmap and an active supporter of our acclaimed Netwatch Training Academy. She brings the depth and breadth of industry experience needed for success in this strategic role and continues to demonstrate energy, credibility and commitment—a combination which has allowed her to develop key relationships with our earliest adopters.”

Since joining NMC in 2018, Nicola's work as National Sales Manager West has been regarded by her peers to be the driving force in the expeditious growth of the company's Channel Partner relationships. Over the years she has built a unique perspective on the security industry and what drives success. The deep insight she has exhibited throughout her career has propelled her to become a trusted facilitator and a sought-after speaker at major industry events.

“In my new role, I will drive exponential growth for our Netwatch Proactive Video Monitoring business in the U.S. by working closely with those partners who share our vision and passion for customer care,” Oakie said. “Through my personal and professional experience, I will foster greater engagement between our team and channel partners, especially as we focus on our lead generation strategy with NMC. Our national support for PVM services by our talented team of Netwatch Proactive Video Monitoring experts is one of the key reasons prospective dealers and integrators should partner with us.”

Her career spans over 25 years in the electronic low voltage security industry, beginning at ADI in 1995 and becoming the branch manager in 2003. One of her pivotal career moves was her work with former partners Larry and Norhi Folsom in their security installation company, American Video and Security. Appointed as the General Manager, she developed and sold RMR solutions and differentiated with video services. As the Business Development Manager at I-View Now, a SaaS cloud video and signaling service, she was key to developing the dealer program, central station integrations and manufacturer integrations to the service.
