System Surveyor launches mobile app to connect sales, installation teams

AUSTIN, Texas—System Surveyor has launched a native smartphone app designed to give security integrators’ field teams access to site survey and system design information throughout the project lifecycle.

Available on iOS and Android, the System Surveyor Phone app allows project managers, technicians and subcontractors to view surveys, floor plans, photos and notes on mobile devices, with the goal of improving coordination between sales and installation teams.

The app extends the company’s existing platform, which is widely used by sales teams to document site surveys and design system layouts. With the addition of smartphone access, field personnel can now retrieve and update project information in real time while on-site.

Company officials said the app is intended to address longstanding communication gaps between sales and installation teams. By providing a shared view of project details, the platform aims to reduce errors, limit rework and streamline project execution.

“Technicians and subcontractors represent one of the largest segments of a security system integrator’s workforce, yet they’ve historically been disconnected from the photos, data and requirements captured during a site survey,” said Chris Hugman, CEO and co-founder of System Surveyor. “This app allows teams to access and manage project information from the field or office, using the same system throughout the project lifecycle.”

According to the company, key capabilities include the ability to capture and upload photos directly to a project file, access full design documentation in the field and update installation status. These features are intended to help integrators accelerate the transition from project award to installation completion while improving accuracy.

System Surveyor said the app complements its existing tablet and web-based tools, providing additional flexibility for field use. The company positioned the launch as part of a broader effort to enable more connected workflows for integrators, from initial site survey through installation and ongoing maintenance.
