TriStar looks toward second anniversary, new goals

About a year ago, Tim Le Blanc president of TriStar monitoring, spoke with Security Systems News about the company's first year. Now, the third-party monitoring center central with its 10,000-square-foot facility in Corona, Calif., is reaching its second anniversary and LeBlanc talked about the significant, but “very realistic,” goals the company has for its next year.

Nearing the two-year mark, the company is approaching 30,000 accounts, according to Le Blanc. “At the end of the year, we're looking to [have] about 45- 50,000 accounts,” Le Blanc said, something he calls “a very realistic figure.”

Le Blanc told Security Systems News that a key to their upcoming year will be their monthly newsletter which TriStar sends out to a base of about 4,000 companies. The newsletter, covering various topics including new technologies, contracts, and insurance, and its positive response helps build the company's reputation, Le Blanc said.

Le Blanc said that this year to bring more advertising as well as a larger presence in industry meetings.

TriStar is currently also working on expending its presence in Washington and Oregon, according to Le Blanc, a central part of which is state licensing.
