Viscount's access control system installed at additional government facilities

BURNABY, British Columbia—Viscount Systems, a provider of security systems and software based here, announced that its Freedom access control system has been installed at U.S. federal government facilities in two additional states, according to a company statement.

The systems include both Freedom Encryption bridge technology as well as Viscount's new Freedom security user and card enrollment platform, the statement said.

As an access control provider, Viscount is known for eliminating panels from its systems. Last month, the company named industry veteran Dennis Raefield its new COO.

“Following successful pilot projects … we are now moving to ongoing projects that are specifying Freedom as the required product.” Stephen Pineau, president and CEO of Viscount, said in the statement.
