WavestoreUSA releases updated VMS software

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—Wavestore USA has released Version 5.40 of its VMS, updated to support more cameras and to work with WaveSTAR, the company announced Nov. 5.

WavestoreUSA provides digital video and audio recording for professional surveillance.

“Not only does V5.40 include unique features such as WaveSTAR, but it also incorporates WavestoreUSA's unique dewarping function that enables users to optimize live and recorded views of 360-degee fisheye surveillance cameras,” said Mike Scirica, WavestoreUSA's vice president of marketing and sales, in a prepared statement. “The newest version of our VMS platform is a testimony to WavestoreUSA's continued focus to engineer innovative surveillance solutions that simplify security and adds unique value to our customers.”

Version 5.40 includes WaveSTAR, allowing installers to integrate third-party systems without the need for custom coding, according to the release. The software's translator allows installers to decode TCP, HTTP and UDP messages from third-party systems into EVENTXX, so users can watch live events, record and search video.

Version 5.40 of its VMS supports 128 cameras, including 32 analog cameras. It also allows users to group servers together and integrates with leading camera systems, including those with advanced analytics, according to the news release.
