2013 ESX to make security robotics a focal point

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—The Electronic Security Expo, set to take place here June 19-20, will produce new media and event opportunities to help connect makers and distributors of security robots and robotics platforms with physical security companies, according to an ESX statement.

Dubbed “Security Robotics: Vision 2013,” the initiative will include research, a webinar, digital report and special demo area at ESX 2013 designed to showcase the functionality and reliability of robotics in the security industry. Part of the initiative's goal is to speed up the development and adoption of security robotics, the statement said.

In July, ESX will produce a webinar on security robotics and distribute a digital special report on the same topic. Both webinar and report will be promoted to more than 20,000 security professionals in the ESX industry database, along with more than 20,000 robotics industry professionals in the Robotics Trends' industry database.

“Robotics are rapidly traveling the cost-performance curve toward the potential for delivering real, cost-saving security solutions,” John Galante, president, AE Ventures, said in the statement.

Galante added that there is much excitement about the potential for RMR generation from security robots for both integrators and monitoring companies.

Security Systems News is the premier media sponsor of ESX.
